So the CPS essentially got it wrong and now we have two people who can’t be tried for spying for China. I suppose they can be legally prevented from ever getting security clearance again, at least.

To give an idea of the impact of Chinese influence, in a slightly terrifying vision of the future, Sweden can perform a military 5G slice all the way to the Finnish border and soon will be able to drive remote controlled tanks around there while the operator sits in a comfy Stockholm cafe. If I were Vlad, I wouldn’t fancy taking on the Nordic Skynet!

Can’t get one to the Polish border because you have to go through Germany and German infrastructure is 75% Huawei and ZTE. So there’s this huge hole in the centre of Europe you can’t 5G slice. China’s “soft” national security undermining is not only real but has really significant impacts.

The Yanks, rightly for once, think we’re mad in Europe for how we sacrifice national security to save a few euros. It’s not like Nokia or Ericsson infrastructure is *that* much more expensive.

They realise after China bought up 50% of our Infrastructure.

In pmq’s yesterday, Badenoch and Cleverly were reminded of their 2023 comments ‘China is not a foe’ and ‘China is not a threat’ and they each squirmed and gulped. Daily Mail Quentin Letts column ‘Starmer sneers that Badenoch is not a lawyer’. Ffs

They have literally funded China for WW3 against us. Then they’ve let them have most of our infrastructure. What on earth are we doing

    6. A lot of pro China astroturfing at the moment in western national subs. Swing states like Canada have posters in subs who seem to make comments like “China is a more rational friend than the US right now” which might be technically correct in that they’re more predictable, however they’re so ideologically opposed to us they will never be our friends unfortunately and we need to be open to the realities of that.

Pity they own a vast swathe of our critical national infrastructure then, not to mention having electronic devices in every single British home

The decision makers who oversaw the wholesale outsourcing of everything to China (and India) need to be help accountable

What, a massive nuclear armed superpower who has only in the last few decades recovered from the economic and social shafting we gave them the previous 2 centuries, and has since bought up our infrastructure and wants to build a massive embassy next door to a sensitive location in the middle of London? Shock.
