This feels like a situation where whatever you do, people will be angry about it.
Take part in the reconstruction = profiting from genocide
Not taking part in the reconstruction = complacent in genocide
This feels much more positive that trump turning it into a resort or whatever
I only skimmed, but I couldn’t see who will be paying these private companies that are profiting from the rebuilding? Also maybe use flexible plastic pipes for their water system this time.
I know of a certain conservative peer that needs to come up with £144M pretty sharpish

Fucking hell who else is going to rebuild it if not private construction firms? Did I miss the part where Gaza suddenly developed 1000s of engineers and dusted off all of their functioning construction equipment? I guess China could do it seeing as they are annoyed it’s the British doing it. The MPs opposed to this are absolute fucking morons
I mean, how else are you going to get a spread of options? Gaza has no infrastructure, terrorist led administration, and no companies. How do people actually expect stuff to get built?
I’m not really sure what the problem is here. Gaza needs rebuilding, some companies have to do it, why not UK ones?
Of course it shouldn’t all be blown up and Israel should have to pay for fixing it, same as it would be nice to make Russia pay for fixing Toretsk after that war finishes. But it is, and they won’t (and there’s no political will to sanction them until they do), so it needs rebuilding.
