Providing a friendly nation with the means to defend itself against an invader, showing that the US won’t just accept attacking and annexing neighboring countries, would be a signal of strength and determination to China, that would do much more to protect Taiwan and prevent a war in East Asia than a few hundred Tomahawks more or less in storage.

I find most comments here a bit naive. Russia has been needing to prepare for possible Tomahawks which might then be for nothing and Putin likely literally soiled his pants more often than usual.
As long as Ukraine and Europe continued their own things very little is actually lost.
No Tomahawks for Ukraine from Trump, forget it. And the sad truth is that Ukraine can´t use them anyway, because there is no available platform to fire them from.
