I’d just like to remind everyone that while the police is allowed to use violence they can’t just do whatever they want.
Violence can be used but has to be proportional. The level of violence has to be necessary to achieve the intended (legal) goal.
The actions of the Brussels police this week don’t seem to be governed by that logic.
Lmao, I thought they were (finally) going to kick them out of the country but it’s just about clearing that building.

And VRT seems to have been there all the time but “curiously” does not show the footage of the police intervention and just speak about “there are images of activists in blood”…
If peaceful poor people find a place to stay with their families, then they send the police to “uphold the law” with this disproportionate violence.
When the government refuses to comply with the asylum law in more than 10.000 times, then “it is their political choice”.

Shameful double standards, including everybody that is so disgusted when the violence, only when it comes from one side…
