From the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Oleksandr, together with his girlfriend, journalist Oleksandra Milashevska, actively documented the war crimes committed by Russian troops in the Chernihiv region. Their work helped spread the truth about the atrocities taking place there.
In September 2024, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His military service came to an end in the Kharkiv region, where he was killed while performing a combat mission.
Just a week before his death, Oleksandr proposed to his beloved Oleksandra.
Oleksandr Urvantsev left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew, loved, and respected him.
