“Deng Majek, from Sudan, denies murdering 27-year-old Rhiannon Whyte, who died three days after being attacked at Bescot Stadium railway station on 20 October 2024.”
Was there an injunction stopping the reporting of this case? It’s the first time I’ve heard about this, with the story seemingly buried in BBC local news.
What’s a certainty is that he shouldn’t have been here in the first place. Effective border controls would have stopped a preventable death. Whilst he’s shown through his actions that he can not legitimately claim he sought safety when he posed such a high level of risk to others.

Why is this evidence? The prosecution has introduced this video to show the accused is a wrong’un, as if murdering hotel workers by stabbing them 19 times in the head were not in itself a bad thing.
In a parallel universe, perhaps the defence would say, look, it can’t have been the man in the dock because he was dancing and murderers don’t dance.
No, it is there to prejudice the jury.

Given that he’s from Sudan, he’s unlikely to ever be deported… I have no words.
