It should be noted that exports of Eurofighters require the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain to approve, Meteor exports further require France and Sweden to approve as well. This export deal is mainly of significance to the UK, as it‘s required to keep their final assembly line in Warton operational. Criticizing Germany in particular is disingenuous.

      > Türkiye initially sought 40 Tranche 4 Eurofighter Typhoons, but current talks point to a phased purchase starting with 24 jets.

Maybe not 40 new jets then. They’re apparently looking to buy second hand from Qatar, maybe that’ll make up the balance instead of being on top.

Germany indirectly gonna have planes flying over Greece again eh

    4. Of course we only support what we have a gain on, but if Russia invades western/north Europe I wish the south Europe doesn’t help at all

Greek obsession to keep up with Turkey in terms of arms is stupid. Turkey has a much higher population, several times bigger GDP and a big and established defense industry of its own whereas Greece imports almost all of their weaponry.

Greece is protected by being in NATO and partially in EU, not by being in arms race against Turkey. Turkey was, is and will always be better armed than Greece.

Turkey should get kicked out of NATO. They are pro terrorists.

Germany has criticized Greece a lot for spending money on weapons, unless it’s german weapons ofc.
