It’s a nice car.
This was the best sold car in the world for months, so I guess you could say it is popular everywhere. Has a decent package of hybrid, Japanese quality and space. My father used to have one; not really my cup of tea.
It’s a reliable, spacious and nice looking car with reasonable fuel economy and the PHEV version has quite a lot of punch too. Coming from the most popular car brand in Finland.
For some reason Finns like Toyota from the 1980s on.
Because Toyota and people tend to like SUVs / crossovers these says
Also factor in it’s in kind of a sweet spot for company cars, as the PHEV has “low” emissions and the price is just in the range most companies offer
Not just in Helsinki, it’s popular pretty much all over the country
It’s one of the most sold cars in the world recently, and Toyota is seen as a reliable and cost efficient brand in Finland. No more to it than that I guess.
Is there a statistic to this or is it just because you think about the car you notice them?
It is one of few Toyotas that is still made in Japan
Toyota makes stable cars. After a few years it’s still in same condition you bought it, so you get to have a new car for years. In comparison to e.g. italian cars which tend not to pass first inspection.
Toyota = best value for your money.
