Ohh yeah, still in the “agreeing” phase? 😅 Until they come up with a similar technology, it would be already outdated

Here’s an idea, fuck satellite internet.

Install LTE and 5g anywhere you needed it and done, most of Europe already has LTE

Without reusable rocket, it will just drain what’s left of the little EU aerospace budget…

Unfortunately, and I mean it, a sequence of events you see too often in the last years for projects like this is the following:

      1. Announcement of some similar grand plan.

      2. Mostly France/French company but can also be Germany/German company, starts making some demands others find unacceptable.

      3. Grand plan is, well, they use many euphemistic verbs for this but in fact BURIED is the best.

:-((( Again, – this is not a French bashing, I speak French and love France but what I wrote above is the reality as seen after reading English, German, Austrian and French media daily for the last 5 years.

    5. This type of actions leads nowhere. Satellite internet is good idea but if everyone makes their own satellite network, them only result is use completely littering space near Earth. So either no satellite networks whatsoever or satellite network should be done as international program, similar to ISS.

ah, more monopolies. that’s what the EU needs to compete.
