The gall of these mongrels, they attack neighbouring countries and lament if others prepare their defenses.

    3. pineappleinsertion on

Why are you preparing for war step defensive alliance? All we want is a hug 😏

    4. 99.5% of the serious use of the word “Russophobia” is self-parody.

    5. Neversetinstone on

I don’t think its irrational to have a strong dislike of present day Russia.

Its actions have almost guaranteed it.

      >A phobia is an anxiety disorder, defined by an irrational, unrealistic, persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation.

I wouldn’t say anything about Europe’s reaction is irrational or excessive.

r/NoShitSherlock Europe is preparing for war because Russia is nonstop threatening european countries …

    8. Russia has been talking about war with Europe for years. Of course Europe prepares. They don’t want to be surprised like Ukraine was. Or Georgia.

I don’t see anything wrong with these statements, what is there to accuse though.
It sounds like “bully accuses victim for taking self-defense classes”.

Not scared of Russia whatsoever, we just know how insane the Kremlin is and how a dog with rabies can’t be reasoned with.

Russophobia? We just dont want to have any ties with you. Be in your country, far far away from us.

    13. Who doesn’t like European countries that invade their neighbours?

Hasn’t anyone told the Russians that the term “russophobia” doesn’t work. They need new catchwords.

    15. Yes its all true.

Only thing is…. why? Because dumb russian orcs know nothing else but to get drunk and attack neighbours.

I prefer to use the term Russorealism

And have to say as a person living right next to Kaliningrad I don’t have anything against all of them and before the war our relations on a common people level seemed pretty good. Like it was a socially acceptable occupation to be a smuggler of things like cigs from there, they were a common sight in the cities, would often come here to shop near the border so it was hard not to bond with them on some level and make friends, they became a part of our town lives. I kid you not things got so desperate after border closures contraband was sent the aerial way and wouldn’t be found out if a box of cigs didn’t crash on someone’s rooftop.

For a time our lives were similarly miserable so we could relate to our experiences and try help eachother out. Schoolkids from my mom’s generation would be sent on exchange trips there, forced for the sake of maintaining made up “Polish-Russian friendship”, but she did make friends there she’d keep writing to for decades even after everything her family suffered from the Soviet army. Cause it turned out they suffered from it quite a bit too, just didn’t have a voice. Theyre people too, a lot of them not that different from us, just that they can’t openly share their opinions, if they weren’t brainwashed from decades of propaganda, and even those more often than not don’t want to start anything with us.

I don’t think they would ultimately have much of a say in a war scenario

Oh no, the schoolyard bully is crying again because the others are fighting back. How dare they? Well, anyway…

    18. Basic-Still-7441 on

Why would be preparing? Oh, only because a thousand year of reasons.

Ruzzia has made the term Russophobia an oxymoron.

A phobia is the irrational fear of something.
Fearing Russian aggression is anything but irrational nowadays.

If he truly believes NATO is squaring up for a fight then he ought to urge Putin out of Ukraine or depose him. If Russia cannot beat Ukraine then it would last about half an hour against the combined might of NATO. If Putin gets back in his lane NATO will not attack, but it will strengthen its defences. Putin’s fault for not respecting treaties.

    21. Rapist keeps complaining that people locking them out and calling them bad names as they keep raping people. Yeah, get fucked Russia, this is consequences of your actions.

    22. Quality russophobia is necessary and recommend at daily doses.

(Russia prepares for war, Invades Ukraine, is generally hostile to Europe)

(Europe sees this, and prepares to defend itself)

Russia: Omg, why do you hate us and prepare for war???
