This is super interesting. We always study how Arabic was spoken in Alandalus, along with Romance languages, but although we know that most of the conquerers who brought Islam into Spain were from North Africa rather than Arabia, we never learn about Berber languages being spoken in the Iberian Peninsula, and as far as I know, we do not have many Berber words in Spanish.

      Translation:

      English:
My mother, the sun of my life, has faded…
In the morning, he went to graze with the cattle.

Nothing remains for me but to weep over my bad luck…
Because of it, my youth has vanished like a mirage.

      Spanish:
Madre mía, el sol de mi vida se ha apagado…
Por la mañana, él fue a pastar con el ganado.

No me queda más que llorar por mi mala suerte…
Por su causa, mi juventud se ha desvanecido como un espejismo.
