Too bad it’s behind a pay wall. I would like to read this article.

C’mon now US, SQUEEZE, PUSH… Now pop out some Tomahawks…

This seems really big if true. Although I suspect Ukraine has developed long range weapons of some sort already. Show the occupiers that it was a deadly mistake.

Some things are sneaking in under the radar.

Those aren’t Tomahawks, those are domestically produced ‘Flamingos’… >>>wink<<< >>>wink<<<

Good. That was the dumbest condition of our support under Biden. “Here are some missiles – just don’t shoot them more than 100km into Russia without our approval ahead of time.”

    6. Puzzled_Worth_4287 on

Yeah probably because Ukraine has already started manufacturing them themselves and Trump doesn’t want to miss out on the money he can make.

The restrictions are off because it’s happening any-fucking-way.

At this point, I don’t believe anything the Trump administration says because he always flip-flops. I seem to remember this restriction was removed a few months ago, only to have it not removed. And now it’s removed again. Yeah, sure. Same with the Tomahawks.

Ukraine is flying 10s to 100s long range missiles/drones deep into russia every day. Saying that US missiles would somehow cause escalation doesn’t really sound convincing and the restriction is dumb.

The main thing here is that Ukraine doesn’t have that many US made long range missiles, so this is a bit too late (or US should supply a bunch for it to matter)

Give it three weeks and they are going to change their minds again. Rinse and Repeat.

I have fucking whiplash. I’ve heard of strategic ambiguity, but what the fuck….

And I bet this was the goal all along re: tomahawks. Zelenskyy pushes for tomahawks, makes Trump look good to Putin by saying no, but is able secure this concession in response.

    13. sangreal06 on

Trump already put out a diatribe denouncing this article as “fake news” while also saying the US has nothing to do with how Ukraine uses missiles. 🤷‍♂️

    14. I swear theyve announced this a dozen times. “Hey you can shoot at russia! with stuff we are not supplying you”. Fuck these clowns and the echo chamber

Now fire them all before Orang man gets a call from poutine and changes his mind

    16. The US has realised, with the recent flamingo long range strikes, that Ukraine has their own long range capability. So approving long range strikes, whilst also not proving long range missiles, is meaningless. Putin probably called trump and told him, hey to help make it look like you’re doing something, you have my permission to approve long range strikes.

    17. Honest_Boysenberry25 on

Trump has denied this today but British Storm Shadows were used on a large Russian chemical plant. Sounds like DJT is trying for plausible deniability. He is meeting with Rutte today as well.

    18. FallenRaptor on

It’s easy to remove restrictions on something they’re not sending. Doesn’t mean a thing unless there are Western long-range missiles to fire.

    19. ProUkraine on

Trump has denied this and said it’s fake news. No surprise there.
