An industry with vastly more frauds than genuinely good tradesmen. Once they put the hammer and spade in, you’re having to put a lot of trust in them to actually get it done.
We’ve had some shockers for our roof and for simple repointing work which took 8 weeks for just one side the house!
This is probably down to the fact people don’t want to learn trades anymore, so it leaves a big vacuum for criminals and cowboys to fill.
Shows how ineffective enforcement is within this country despite knowing exactly who is responsible.
1.25 million. Crime doesn’t pay…
For the people who’ve lost thousands to this con man, the jail time is kinda irrelevant. They want financial restitution and things put right which will probably never happen.
The stress and bitterness this crook has caused is immeasurable.
