What’s the point in the government testing the emergency alert system if they’re not going to use it in a time of crisis such as this.

Got a feeling this year will kill off Strictly for good.

    3. big_swinging_dicks on

Huge news, the only reason Strictly ran through Covid was because they were able to test daly.

Fucking staff turnover at the BBC should not send out BBC News alerts to everyones fucking phones.

People literally didn’t like Claudia before her fringe. If you’re too young to remember, look into it. It’s baffling.

So many people will be talking about how this is the end of Strictly and how it’s going to die without realising it’s one of the most watched TV programmes across all channels in the UK. For some reason the UK press love to bemoan its downfall when it’s still incredibly popular.

They might even see an increase in viewership next year if Tess & Claudia are replaced with people who the public really like. Davina, Alan Carr, there are many people who could do just as good a job as Tess and even Claudia.

Just remember – just because you don’t like it, it doesn’t mean nobody does.

I get that this counts as news; it’s quite a popular show.

But does it really need to be a running live blog? Do the BBC really need to do anything other than publish the initial announcement in an article, perhaps with a few comments from colleagues wishing them well?

It says a lot about the state of the modern media that the first thing I thought when I saw this headline was ‘whistleblower’s come out with allegations’.

Shame, I like Claudia Winkleman. But Tess Daly always gives me killer robot vibes.

I wonder what Brucey’s up to nowadays.

      I don’t have a telly.

Why is this story live breaking news?

Reading this thread, I’m glad I don’t have BBC alerts on my phone.

Kinda feel that this has been the weakest series
In a long time. Simply isnt pushing the buttons jn my household this time round.

Guessing it’ll be Bradley Walsh and Holly Willoughby for the new hosts I reckon.

Thought they were shit anyway, when is Dermot O’Leary taking over?

      Amanda Holden and Romesh Ranganathan

      Or even better

      Davina McCall and David Walliams!

Jesus christ we are all doomed, Another blow to our once beautiful country, truly we are a nation in decline.

A chance for Paddy McGuinness to get another long running BBC show cancelled.

Time for Gregg and John to make a comeback.

Gregg presenting the entire show with only a sock over his cock because he’s austistic, with John singing *ALL* the lyrics to Gold Digger every week.

Dancing doesn’t get any tougher than this!

    18. realmofconfusion on

On no! Where will I go now to get my weekly dose of poorly-faked sincerity?

Daly was the best. Who can forget such classics as “fake laugh #4”, or “forced smile #27”? The depths of her insincerity truly knew no bounds.

    19. HotMachine9 on

Tess has been with Strictly for ages, im surprised to see her leave now but like? What else does she do?

I do wonder who they’ll pull in. If its Paddy I will be VERY amused.

      Ideally we get Danny Dyer
