All good stuff, and as much as *landlord defenders* stamp their feet about these policies, these kind of predatory landlording practises are such a drain on our economy. I know I’ve turned down positions in London because I know I’d have to deal with a bunch of scumbag landlords. When productive labour is being restricted due to unproductive rent seeking, that will grind an economy to a halt.

As somebody has been renting for well over a decade I am glad new protection is coming however I do feel it is far too weighted towards tenants and I can see this backfiring massively by having lots of private landlords sell up and only to be replaced by massive companies who are so much worse and rental prices sky rocket.
