I don’t understand people who support the continuation of the war in Ukraine, and their main argument is that Ukraine must not agree to have its land taken away — which I completely agree with.

But what makes no sense to me is that when you ask those same people why it’s okay for Israel to keep violating international law by taking Palestinian land since 1948, their response is something like, “war is hell” or “that’s just how it goes — land changes hands in wars.”

What frustrates me even more is the double standard — Israel has been supported for over 70 years by the US and EU for doing basically the same thing they criticize Russia for. And I’m just afraid beause no one follows the fuc..ng rules any more that it might drag all of us in another world war, and that war might get us all erased from this planet.

I just wish world leaders (and Reddit, honestly) would decide whether it’s acceptable in the 21st century to take someone else’s land through war or not.
