Dirigiti a Malta tra circa una settimana e stai cercando di decidere se prenotare uno di quei tour guidati di un’intera giornata o semplicemente fare le mie cose? Ne prenderò un noleggio auto in aeroporto comunque, quindi tecnicamente potrei semplicemente andare in giro e raggiungere da solo i luoghi principali?
Voglio sapere se i tour valgono davvero la pena per la storia e il contesto, o finisci per passare la maggior parte del tempo ad aspettare in gruppo? Grazie

We’ve just come back, I hadn’t been to Malta for 30 years, but I wanted to take my daughter and show her all the wonderful places I’d been to when I was her age.
We did 2 full day tours – one of Malta and one of Gozo, and we did 3 days out using public transport (Valletta, St Julian’s & Sliema, and Mellieha village & Ghadira Bay).
The plus point of the tours was that they allowed us to cram a lot in to our visit and the guides were very good and knowledgeable, but in real terms we spent more time on the coach and having lunch than we did at the sights, and the stops were very rushed – too rushed to see anywhere properly. I wouldn’t do the tours again, I’d just go ourselves on the bus or Bolt (which is like Uber). I wouldn’t fancy driving though!
