Germany always has paid the bases German employees. Normally, the money has already been sent before hand, but because of the shutdown it hasn’t happened. I know nothing seems normal these days, but I’m hoping that at least this shutdown ends so people can be paid. There are lots of people who are continuing to work because they are essential, even though they are not being compensated.

Why are there so many US bases in Germany in 2025 anyway?
