She didn’t take any offence and it’s normal language. What a nothing burger.

Normal people, from working or middle class background, might call another “love” kindly, in normal speech.
But from someone of his privileged background it’s intended to belittle – to remind the other of their lower status.
Put it alongside “listen”, and it’s someone demanding that someone of lower status give them their full attention, because they’re important.
It was a phrase used deliberately to belittle Husain – for her sex and her status.

Putting on my tin foil hat.
Farage isn’t a moron, he did this deliberately. Instead of being continually asked about his overly cozy relations with Putin and close associations with known traitors, he’s now talking about how the country is too politically correct.

It’s not just the language, which is questionable. It’s the defensiveness and condescension the minute he gets challenged on something quite reasonable. Do people really want this man on the phone to other world leaders considering the likely geopolitical tension we’re going to continue to see in coming years?

Well the man knows his audience, Reform voters are there for this sort of thing, not despite it.

I’d love to see him try this with the Italian PM. I’d pay several pounds of sterling to see her pull his balls out through his mouth.
