The scientist gives the results he is paid to produce, providing the facts needed for the rulers to make informed decisions, and THEY JAIL HIM for it!! This is where we are headed, folks.
Russia is incredibly corrupt. No wonder so many former Soviet counrtries want to join NATO to protect themselves from these lying Russian thugs.

After centuries of sustainable sperm whale hunting by Southern Hemisphere countries along their coast lines, the Soviets arrived in Antarctica in the early 1970s and almost sent them extinct in just a couple of years of extreme greed, incompetence, dishonesty, and an absence of any decency.
