      Is that true?

      > Germany now has among the highest electricity costs worldwide, with average consumer prices of $0.365/kWh (roughly €0.35/kWh) by late 2025

France has over fifty reactors, with six more in the works. Over seventy percent of its power production is nuclear. It exports power to the tune of 3 billion euros a year.

This nuclear power plant was decommissioned at the beginning of 2022.

Everything from the powerplant will be removed, part of it was tearing down the cooling towers.

Once they’re done with the tearing down they will build a huge battery storage on that site. The power lines are already there so it makes sense to use them.

Germany’s nuclear phaseout plan is really moving forward! It’s crazy to see these iconic cooling towers being taken down, but it’s part of their push for more sustainable energy. Definitely a big step in transitioning to renewable sources.

it’s a legit bold move from Germany. Knockin’ down the ‘tomic towers n’ saying ‘hell no’ to nuclear. Props, Germany.

They were old, BUT the cooling towers could have been reused for the new more, modern reactors. NOw, whatever hapoens, the next generations will have to rebuild the cooling towers, if they need it !
