      Scary that we have to grovel to the EU not to bill us billions when overall our carbon footprint is minuscule in comparison to countries across the globe..

      If the lower figure of €8 billion in fines is true, we could build the Shelmalere Offshore Wind Farm four times over.

      Wow, between 8 and 26 billion euro cost.

      When we set our sector targets the government made unrealistic goals for energy and transport which they knew we would never make. All so we could pretend agriculture is sustainable. I know a lot of farmers want agriculture to be sustainable. The CAP payments needs to incentivise growing crops to support farmers to move away from sheep and cattle farming.

    4. Our lobbying campaigns in the EU rely on goodwill, which will be lacking given our lectures on “militarism”. Besides which, who signed us up to this crazy target?
