      We had similar stuff happen here except it was an Italian sweatshop. Truth is, that the textile industry has very little added value and most workers work for minimum wage there. And there isn’t much room for improvement. There is a reason why almost all clothes are made in Bangladesh nowadays.

      I find it crazy how little this stuff is valued – sewing together textiles is actually quite skilled work – you can’t really do it without a lot of knowledge and skill and a lot of the production is very manual, yet the pay is abysmal, so effectively we’re just abusing people for cheap clothing.

      if i was the government,every company that closed a plant because of minimum wage would be told your company cannot sell anything in this country.

      Serbia’s rising wages are actually a good sign, it means the country is finally catching up economically, if foreign companies leave because of 500€ salaries, that says more about their priorities than Serbia’s progress
