Absolute joke of a company. Every package I order has issues until it gets to the fast way driver that delivers. Only that he’s a sound fella and good at his job there would be war
Why anyone would use them is beyond me.
Wonder what will happen to all the packages en-route to them?
Don’t Vinted use them and An Post? Gonna be a bit of a knock to tonnes of platforms like that and other online stores.
The only thing they delivered was suspense and finally disappointment…

The literal worst delivery company. When I got my first order from Littlewoods (now Very) Fastaway were the courier. I immediately deleted my Littlewoods account and have never shopped with them since. Not worth the hassle of dealing with Fastway
Had an absolute nightmare with them a couple of years ago. I bought a new phone which stopped working after 2 days and the arrangement with the phone company for returning it under warranty was through Fastways after 3 weeks of waiting for them to pick it up I dropped it off the at the depot where it sat for another 6 weeks or so
I feel bad for anyone who lost their job from this, but the company was appalling.
I’ve worked in call centres before and I know when someone is giving you a generic, fake update because they legitimately don’t know where the package or driver are. So I never bothered calling them, because it was always a “we’ll need to email the depot”, which I knew actually meant “nobody knows where your item is, but hopefully it arrives before you call back tomorrow”.
As I understand it most couriers are self employed and paid by the drop , still pissed me off my one would drop it at the door and not ring the bell ,ok don’t wait fine , but at least ring the bell
Now all we need is for DPD to fuck off as well
Don’t think they ever arrived to my house with a delivery, I would get a missed call constantly followed by a “you missed our call so we cant deliver etc” I’d have to go out to their depot to collect then.
I remember I was driving with my Bluetooth connected so saw it was then ringing, i answered before I’d say it even the first ring on his side, was silence then a mumble and it hung up followed by a text to say I missed their call. I knew they they were calling and hang up on the first ring and say it’s my fault for not answering so they didn’t have to deliver it. Imo the bad reviews are 100%deserved

I have one fond memory of fastway (one fond memory out of dozens of negative memories);
Ordered a good quality printer/scanner/copier from littlewoodsireland.ie (now Very). It said delivered but of course it was nowhere to be seen. I called them, emailed them and nothing. Same shite, its delivered, check around the area, check with a neighbour. I contacted the then littlewoodsireland, they got some tracking of the van where they delivered it, nowhere near my estate, a good 20 min walk away in some other estate. Was a stressful few days. Then by some miracle the family in the house it was delivered to (just plonked outside their house) knew my mother and me by association, called her and asked if I was expecting a delivery and dropped it over a few days later. I arrived home one day and there it was, my fancy printer.
Then fastway started calling me “Hi, just checking to see if you got the delivery?” “No?” I said, “you now want to talk to me after stonewalling me for days, what happened?” – littlewoodsireland musta billed them, they called to the house it was delivered to and person said they dropped it to correct house. “Do you have it? You do have it?” – I kept denying it, they got a bit hostile. I just answered, I called you 10 times, sent some emails and got nothing tangible in response, you clearly delivered to the wrong house, I don’t have it and littlewoodsireland have sorted it out, goodbye. They tried calling me every day for a week, I stonewalled them. Was a delightful experience for an awful shower.
I think it was Komplett they delivered something for me from 20 odd years ago and they left it in the green bin on collection day.
They are the OG in bad delivery but every delivery company leaves shit on your doorstep now. They were just shit before the rest of them them had covid as an excuse.
Wasn’t them them that guy found they had a publicly facing DB a couple of years ago and they ignored or some other nonsense?
Sorry for staff ! Delighted this company is gone ! Was always going to happen with all the shortcuts and way the business was run !
