They explicitly refuse to share liability if the loan defaults, that’s the real technical issue.
Belgium holds 90% of the all the risk, while they demand they proceed without guarantees. Pure hypocrisy.
Meanwhile, they reject the obvious solution of eurobonds.
Why should they invest their money, when they can from another source? Very smart move, they look after the welfare of their citizens and the country.

So Belgium is in trouble if Russia wants payback for their frozen assets? The assets frozen because Russia wages war on Ukraine?
Just tell them you don’t know what happened to the money.
Nordics united in volunteering Belgium to take on all the risk.
Stop wasting time. Agree to spread the liaibility around the EU so the 140 billion loan can be issued to Ukraine ASAP.
