Yes! First progressive social liberal party in 20 years with a youthful prime minister!

as someone who doesnt know much about Dutch political situation-

Is this the best possible scenario considering economy, immigration and ecology?

Well, at least the Ukrainians will be able to count on our continuing support. That’s something.

Dont hold your breath. Sure D66 is the biggest, but getting a progressive centre-left coalition will be impossible. So far the coalition possibilities are:

D66, CDA, PVDA-GL and VVD, which would be centre left-ish(will not happen, VVD will not rule with the left PVDA-GL)

D66,VVD,CDA and JA21, which would be another centre right coalition like the last 15 years.

Depending on the final outcome of the election, you could maybe put together: D66, CDA, PVDA-GL, SP, PvdD and Volt. This would be 72/76 needed seats for a coalition, so there would need to be more votes for these parties. This would make a left progressive coalition, but I very much doubt all these parties would want to work together.

My guess is that it’s going to be the status quo all over again….another centre right coalition.

I’m looking at polling for this election, PVV just collapsed in the last few weeks, with D66 and VVD rising to the moon.

      What happened this election?

Can anyone explain to me what their campaign looked like (i heard something about positive attitude) when they managed to grow by 7% compared to polls from just three weeks ago
