It’s the same everywhere in Europe, and the same is true for the US. Nothing Luxembourg specific. And no this won’t change any time soon.

Nobody should own more than 20 houses, especially in a tiny nation like Luxembourg. If we simply gradually phased in laws to fix this, then the problem would largely be alleviated. If the policies are implemented well, it wouldn’t significantly effect people whose equity is their home.

As an home owner (new house 2023), I actually see prices falling for non-new houses.
