It’s the same everywhere in Europe, and the same is true for the US. Nothing Luxembourg specific. And no this won’t change any time soon.
Same everywhere with well-paying jobs. No different in London, Amsterdam, Zurich etc.
It will get worse. Until it reaches a social tipping point, which will be a significant voting issue for the voting population.
Nobody should own more than 20 houses, especially in a tiny nation like Luxembourg. If we simply gradually phased in laws to fix this, then the problem would largely be alleviated. If the policies are implemented well, it wouldn’t significantly effect people whose equity is their home.
Let’s fix this problem by importing more people from 3rd world countries
As an home owner (new house 2023), I actually see prices falling for non-new houses.
