Will he now be known as the nonce formally known as prince?

    2. eponners on

I wonder if this will make it easier, due to precedent, to abolish the monarchy.

    3. Historical-Web-3147 on

Good. It’s the least he deserves but this process should have happened sooner.

    4. perpendiculator on

I’m sure plenty of people will be complaining he’s not in prison, but regardless this has still been a funny process to watch because it’s become clear that the rumours that Charles hates Andrew are clearly true. Also, for what it’s worth this is about as strong a rebuke as Charles is allowed in his capacity as king.

    5. Legitimate_Eye8494 on

There’s a kingly suite waiting for him at Maralago.

    6. Terrible_Trouble_931 on

The Buckingham palace statement is actually quite strongly worded

    7. wkavinsky on

Not so sure I agree with the moving out part.

He’s got a perfectly legal lease with the crown estate and he’s *done his part* of the lease terms.

Now had he been convicted of a crime in the UK, instead of just being a noncey nonce, it would be a different story, but that’s not what’s happened here.

    8. Suspicious-Bug6588 on

Can’t help but think William has been in his dad’s ear about this. Charles has been far too soft on his brother throughout this whole saga.

Wondering if the idea is to remove all royal links so if / when he’s charged with something, he won’t be as an official royal.

    10. No-Impact1573 on

He will always be a Prince, you can’t remove his birth right.

    11. crankyteacher1964 on

I wonder how much of this could have been avoided if the Queen had let Andrew stay in the Navy and serve as his career. I can’t help but feel that making him give up his full time naval career was a huge mistake.

Something more is brewing here, I’m wondering if there’s more about to come out, plus there is the book that is about to be released, but I think there is more about to come out and the king is trying as hard as possible to distance him from the rest of the royal family so hopefully there won’t be as much blow back on them.

    13. Scottyrubix on

I presume this means more damaging reports are imminent.

    14. Bus_Wrangler on

Remember: he will forever be on the dole of the public taxpayer. The lowest tier of cost, the better.

    15. About fucking time. Dirty disgusting evil piece of garbage. This has come way too late. Only done to save face for the monarchy. Had they have done this when the story broke, maybe they’d have a little respect from us, but as this smacks of desperation and a last resort, all that is out the window.

    16. Dramasticlly on

Great news. However wondering if there’s more about to be revealed.

      Sandringham won’t be terribly pleased…

I feel sorry for the King. His brother has done something which at the absolute most charitable one could call absurdly stupid and probably far worse.

But he is also a financial burden on the King, who no doubt he was told to look after…can’t choose your relatives.

    18. Satch2305 on

I don’t understand how moving to sandingham, funded by King is somehow the better outcome? Can anyone explain?

    19. RecentTwo544 on

I’ve long been in two minds about this.

On the one hand there is zero doubt given evidence from those who knew him or were unfortunate enough to work under him, that Andrew was a nasty, slimey, jealous, angry cunt who deserved a fall from grace.

On the other hand there’s no evidence he is actually a pedo, while his taste for younger women could be fairly seen as “creepy” none of the women he even allegedly had relations with were underage. Even Esptein said “Andrew is an idiot, but a useful one”.

I even think some of the _desperate_ clamouring on social media and Reddit to prove he is a pedo, is a case of “methinks the lady doth protest too much”.

But this and the statement from Buckingham Palace is starting to make me think there is actual evidence coming to light and Andrew is about to be proven to be the nonce so many people desperately hope he is.

    20. SweatyEnthuziasm on

Less than a fortnight ago everyone in the media was spewing the line that he could only have his Prince title stripped by an act of Parliament and they’re all too busy.

      We are constantly fed bullshit.

    21. limaconnect77 on

There’s no reason Tampon Charles couldn’t have binned him sooner.

    22. supergodmasterforce on

He’s going to be moved into a house on Sandringham Estate, funded by the King. This sounds to me like he’s being put in a box to be forgotten about and I hope that’s exactly what happens. I hope he dies a sad and lonely old man and has plenty of time to reflect on what he has done.

    23. CaptMelonfish on

Can he lose a birthright title? It would be far funnier if he was an imprisoned prince. Maybe have use for the tower of London again, traditional.

    24. Wonder if the intelligence services know something ahead of time.

    25. MadamKitsune on

It would be interesting to see 100 years into the future when the documents are unsealed and reveal how much money it took to pay Andrew off – because let’s be honest here, there’s no way he gave up Royal Lodge or anything else without an immense sum of money for a promise not to retaliate by blowing all the family secrets wide open.

    26. HotShotDestiny on

Fucking good, next he should be tried as a regular person with no access to additional aid from his family.

    27. purpleisafruit1 on

Moving him to Sandringham doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement? I appreciate it says Charles is privately funding it, but how do we know this? We never really know what money is public or private with the Royal Family.

    28. Recent-Resolution331 on

Can’t wait for Andrew Windsor to turn up in the Jungle and eat a monkeys dick

    29. AbraxasKadabra on

I’m confused why Charles will be funding whatever private accommodation the nonce moves into.

    30. soundkeed on

A slap on the wrist then sent to live the life of Riley in Dubai? Where is the justice in that?

    31. ScoopTheOranges on

Again, they clearly think he did it so why are they not calling for charges? Jail him.

    32. noir_lord on

You have to wonder what changed to suddenly make them push him off the ledge.

I’m curious what they know is coming out soon or could come out soon.

Either that or Chuckie has established himself as monarch and wants him further separated – guess we’ll find out at some point, we usually do.

    33. To_a_Mouse on

Why does he still get live in the Royal Estate at Sandringham?

Surely he should be forced to get a job and pay rent for an ex council house in Slough.
