The enemy is increasing activity in the area of the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad. For that reason I visited this important direction again.
I met with the commanders of army corps, military units, and formations that are holding back a numerically superior enemy onslaught.
I heard briefings on the current situation and on existing needs, and I listened to proposals.
**The situation is difficult, but Russian propaganda’s claims that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are allegedly “encircled” in Pokrovsk — as they have claimed about Kupiansk — do not correspond to reality.**
At the same time, in Pokrovsk enemy infantry is concentrating inside the urban built-up area, avoiding direct clashes and shifting positions, so the primary task is to locate them and destroy them.
Under these conditions, high-quality work by our reconnaissance and strike drones is extremely important. In addition to unmanned systems, strike-and-search actions are being carried out in the city and missions to neutralize enemy groups are being performed by units of the Air Assault Forces, assault regiments, the Special Operations Forces,, the Central Special-Purpose Center of the Military Law-Enforcement Service, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the National Guard, the National Police of Ukraine, and others.
We are working to strengthen the resilience of the defense on the Pokrovsk front. Key elements here are: effective coordination between units; providing them with everything they need, including according to additional requirements; and the clear, coordinated execution of assigned tasks.
In the context of improving logistics, I separately set tasks to strengthen protection of supply and evacuation routes. A number of other decisions were also adopted.
All decisions are made promptly. They are based on maintaining a sensible balance between objectives and capabilities. **But the main priority is preserving the lives of our soldiers.**
**The Dobropillia operation continues. As of today, assault units have advanced on some axes by an additional 200 to 550 meters. Overall, during this operation 186.8 km² of Ukrainian territory have been liberated, and 246.8 km² cleared of enemy sabotage-and-reconnaissance groups.**
Thanks to all the soldiers, sergeants, and officers who are striking the enemy and professionally carrying out their tasks.
**We are holding the enemy back by every available method. We continue to work toward our shared goal.**
