      I think a homeowner should only accept work to be carried out on their property via a government scheme if they are able to hire someone to enact absolutely devastating personal consequences upon the installer should it later transpire that the installation is defective, because the government sure as well isn’t going to remediate or compensate for the damage done.

      I paid to have polystyrene cladding added to mine, and thankfully 5 years on it still seems to be okay apart from me dinging it. It has made a massive difference but I will be keeping a closer eye on it.
