I don’t understand the article? Is it his land? If not why is it framed as if this is the national trust being unreasonable?

Sounds more like a self entitled farmer keeping too many animals in an area and not securing them properly.

Like running off to tell the media?

Moral of the story, If you can’t prove a claim then don’t make a claim they cry to the media when asked for proof unless you want to come across as a wanker.

He sounds like a bit of a wanker.
He hasn’t even been asked to dig up evidence for his grazing rights, he’s just been asked to provide “information”.
Basically sounds like national trust has said “you only have grazing rights for X number of horses, but you are allowing Y number to graze, please provide information about your grazing rights if you disagree with this assessment”.
So, presumably knowing he is in the wrong, he has run crying to the media rather than simply responding to the letter to state his claim.
