Inside the castle you will find out that Vlad Tepes never lived there and beyond MAYBE being imprisoned there once, there is no connection. The castles actual history and interior was interesting enough.
Romania in general was a gem though.

Poenari was the actual castle of Vlad Tepes, but it’s just a ruin nowdays so it wouldn’t be very much profitable with tourists. by the way i’ve been to bran castle and i recommend a visit.
…so that forest is haunted, and that’s why the road doesn’t go through it?
