Kyiv bid farewell to 49-year-old Iryna Maslii and her 19-year-old daughter, Anastasiia. They died in their home during a fire caused by a Russian drone strike. Anastasiia was passionate about geography, was preparing a research project on Kyiv’s transport system for the Junior Academy of Sciences, and had planned to study in Italy.
On the night of October 26, Russian forces attacked the capital with strike drones. After one hit the Masliy family’s apartment, a fire broke out, and toxic smoke caused their deaths.

This is why I can’t sympathize at all with ordinary Russians.
No matter how many of their Ukrainian counterparts keep suffering this way in real-time, all I hear loud and clear is sullen and deafening silence or tone-deaf whataboutery.

Condolences from America.
May they and their families be granted peace.

Lost my father in january because of cancer.
But losing someone who was everything for you is the worst feeling ever and it doesn’t stop.. the first month I just wanted to die too..
There is not one single day anymore without some tears
