So MPs can literally kill people through poor policy decisions, but someone complaining about that in a noticeable way will be the one being imprisoned?
They can get fucked. The whole point of protest is to make it uncomfortable for those in power. They shouldn’t be in politics if they can’t handle it.
Their families are also not exempt from this as ours are not exempt from their poor mismanagement and laws they pass that have real world impacts.
If we feel the pain, so should they.
Also it says in the article they already charged people for harassing the PM so if there are already laws to cover it, why do we need more?
ID cards, further limits on the right to non-violent protest under discussion, what else is on the timetable for Government?
It’s starting to feel increasingly dystopian.
A lot of recent “protestors” are crossing the line for intimidation and calls for violence. There is zero reason a MP’s spouse and children should have to face threats and intimidation at their homes.
I thought that was “*the proper way*” to do it though?
