Governments are starting to combat short term rentals (better late than never) and airbnb has been suffering from ‘enshittification’ in the past years so hopefully we see a trendreversal in the future

We have to move on socials media that “I Used airbnb and someone scammed me”, and a lot of problems of airbnb, crazy people, scams, whatever. And people don’t gonna use. We the people can change the market, because if we wait for politicians and bussines don’t gonna happen.

The problem with Paris is that it doesn’t have an old city and monuments and points of interest are spread all over the city so Airbnbs are also everywhere, making it impossible to find a place to rent

It is completely within the control of the government to stop this. They have in many cities. Anyone complaining should direct their grievances to them, not to Airbnb, the people listing on there or those that rent them.

IMO, ban it or tax it in a way that feeds back into local communities.
