They should go down the Investors in People road. Money well invested.

If it finds genuine efficiencies and saves money in the longterm then fantastic, but the cynic in me thinks this is just another way for weak councillors to kick the can of difficult decisions past the next election.
It is also very telling that Reform aren’t using their own DOGE team. It’s scary that so many people have been elected who clearly didn’t understand the role that local government plays in our society. They clearly all expected it to be cutting back on DEI and asylum seekers rather than the reality of SEND buses, bin collections and your Grans care home.

The company doing this doesn’t happen to be owned by a friend or family member of a reform councillor by any chance?

I’m sure they can find at least £1.4m from a £1.3bn budget. It will end up being a case of some non-statutory services being cut completely.

as a local loads of scuttle going around that some large fat brown envelopes have changed hands for this contract, seems to follow Reform and its leaders model apparently.

Those freelance consultants are rubbing their hands together, again.

This contract appears to have been competed using the CCS Management Consultancy 4 Framework however the maximum potential value appears to be £30m:

I assume the £1.4m is the initial phase and then more work will be commissioned later on.
