So no new housing developments for the capital post-2028 then as per Uisce Éireann themselves:

That is an absolute disgrace for a European capital with such a housing crisis.
We’re already seeing James Browne and FF trying to get private housing projects to provide treatment facilities themselves – which will only increase costs further
2032 would be optimistic for the GDD if planning is cleared this year.
Tendered next year.
Awarded mid 2027.
Construction starts, early 2028.
Assuming the metro is under construction at that stage, the construction capacity will be really stretched, and this project would take longer than 4 years.
“The drainage project, which is to include a new treatment plant in Clonshaugh that will serve up to 500,000 people, was identified as necessary **more than a decade ago.** But the planned development has been beset by planning issues.”
So what they’re really saying is that it actually could have been finished by now if it weren’t for our ridiculous planning system?
