I’m slightly surprised he was still in the country. Should be a fairly simple deportation now though.

I’m watching it “as live” on sky news. Their reporter crew was on the scene having followed a tip off I presume.

We all know the Tories left everything in chaos. But this is one situation I can’t understand. I’m no justice system expert but like most other people, even those who have never learned how to switch on a computer, I know how to make a list and check it. I have read so many news articles about this situation and no one has explained yet how it keeps happening.

    4. From the BBC – *Kaddour-Cherif was spotted by a member of the public in north London today, police say* which suggests the publicity helped (no thanks to Lammy who didn’t want it mentioned)

Also from BBC – *Kaddour-Cherif, 24, had been convicted in November 2024 of indecent exposure relating to an incident in March that year, police said. He was sentenced to an 18-month community order and placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years, the Met added.*

*He is understood to have entered the UK legally on a visit visa in 2019 but overstayed his visa, with a “probable over-stayer” case created in 2020.*

Why was he an overstayer after 2020, but given community service for exposing himself in November 2024??? They should have taken the opportunity to detain him until deportation.

The guy just incriminated himself so hopefully he’s charged with being wantonly at large from lawful custody.

Time for Wandsworth Prison to install a revolving door in the main entrance…

Kept his beard and wore glasses. These wrongly-released prisoners are so cunning with their disguises.

How long before the next one is accidentally released? A week? A day?
