>MORE than fifty masked men, mostly young men, gathered around 7 p.m. in front of the Serbian Cultural Center on Preradovićeva Street in Zagreb, where an exhibition was being opened. They gathered apparently to protest against the holding of the Serbian Culture Day.
>After singing “O Croatia, O Croatia, an independent state” and “Just call, just call, all the falcons will give their lives for you,” a group of younger men left the scene.
>At one point, while they were in front of the building where the exhibition was opening, one of the masked young men spat at an Index photojournalist. A female journalist was also spat at and insulted .
>The police quickly appeared, but at first there were only a few members of the emergency police and a few plainclothes policemen at the scene.
>Police identified some of the men
>The police did not intervene immediately, the group left on its own, but later identified some of the group.
>The Serbian Cultural Center, where the exhibition opening is taking place, is no longer accessible to anyone, reports an Index reporter. The area is full of riot police, and more police vehicles are still arriving. There are also some members of the special police.
>Police hunted the participants in the incident in the surrounding streets
>After the incident, police vehicles began arriving from all directions towards Preradovićeva.
>The police were hunting some of the participants in the incident in the surrounding streets .
>”What is the exhibition about? About the legacy of a former Zagreb boy from the Medaković family”
>The opening of the exhibition took place as planned in the program.
>The event was witnessed by journalist Saša Kosanović, who collaborates with the Serbian economic association “Privrednik” and often moderates their forums.
>”Serbian cultural center, Zagreb. The exhibition opens in half an hour. Police and a bunch of hooded kids on the street. And a couple of older coordinators. What is the exhibition about? About the legacy of a former Zagreb boy from the Medaković family. It doesn’t matter…” wrote Kosanović.

Both sides are in the wrong here.
Masked hooligans celebrating a fascist disgrace of a country is obviously wrong and should be strongly condemned and prosecuted.
On the other hand, the exhibit was dedicated to a co-author of the SANU Memorandum, one of the most shameful displays of Serb nationalism and a document that in many ways led to the rise of nationalism and ethnic tensions in former Yugoslavia. How can you tolerate such a tribute some 300 metres from the main Zagreb square?
