Sfortunatamente anche la nuova casa che stiamo trasferendo non ha Internet in fibra disponibile, la casa attuale sì e siamo preoccupati che edpnet VDSL non sarà abbastanza veloce con le velocità evidenziate. Qualcuno ha esperienza di streaming 4K a queste velocità con edpnet VDSL?

Depends .. netlfix 4k will work. If you use a service to stream raw 80-120GB remuxes that will not work.
The problem is that “4K” doesn’t really say much about the data rate that you need. It can be very little (at high compression ratios), or very high (if you or the streamer insist in uncompressed video).
In most cases, a single, reasonably compressed 4K stream should be fine with 20 Mb/s, but two caveats: firstly, if you buy “20 MB/s”, you rarely get the full 20 Mb/s, and secondly, you probably want to do something else while watching videos. Let’s say you want to check out a YouTube channel that was mentioned in the video stream, then it can already get tight…
Hint: while I would normally recommend the bigger option for your use case – most ISPs are very happy to allow you to change your subscription to a more expensive tier, while they are very reluctant if you want to downgrade. Maybe try the slower one and give them a call if you find it is not enough for you.
Or check for alternative connections: cable or 5G mobile can sometimes be a better solution.
100Mbps down is fast enough for multiple 4K streams.
If you want to skimp out and go for the cheaper 20Mbps, then you could just as well go for the cheaper Netflix that doesn’t do 4K
The speeds I get with edpnet VDSL are 70mbps download & 30mbps upload. The subscription I have is 100mbps download max. The problem with edpnet VDSL is it’s a very unstable connection. Would not recommend it. Unfortunately in my circumstances I have no other choice.
