2.4M vaccine slots available in the next week, apparently.

I can get one through work, but didn’t bother. Maybe should have, with hindsight.

Shame so many people stopped washing their hands, staying away from others and wearing facemasks when they were sick, and practising basic hygiene once Covid dropped out of the news.

    3. I think i got it not too long ago & holy moly it was bad. I was bedridden for 3 days & the cough took almost 14 days to leave.

So why are we mostly scrapping work from home and forcing office workers back on site?

We learned nothing from the pandemic. We’re stupid as fuck. It is mind blowing stupidity that we abandoned the WFH model and still have people travelling on crowded and expensive public transport methods to do a job they could do from their living room.

It’s called winter don’t believe the scaremongering

    6. As someone who works in primary care looking after people with heart and lung conditions I can tell you there are far too many who do not take it seriously

Real flu hits you like a freight train. It’s one of the most disgusting infections you could ever get.

I have no idea if it’s flu but something hit me HARD on Friday. Woke up exhausted but feeling okay so went to work and then it just hit me. Ended up leaving early and going to bed. Headache, horrible aches, lethargy. Think I had a fever because I was shivering at work while everyone was saying it was hot then I was alternating between kicking my duvet off and turning the electric blanket on. Woke up sweating.

The annoying thing is I was meant to have my flu jab Friday afternoon

I’m no longer eligable for a free vaccine so just paid £18 for one at my local pharmacy.

about half of my team is off sick with influenza-like illness right now. no clue if it’s flu or covid or just bad colds but people are getting knocked out for a week at a time, it’s rough.

I think this is maybe what I have right now, it’s brutal. I’m isolating until it passes, I don’t want to risk giving it to someone vulnerable. I’m pretty healthy and it’s got me totally wiped out, I dread to think how it would hit someone vulnerable

Oh no! Another killer mutant virus! It’s a SCAM people. There are no viruses, it’s all fake. ALL of it.

They say this every year. I know it will happen but “could” is carrying a lot of weight in that sentence

Amazing the flu disappeared for two years at the start of the 2020s

Worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Genuinely relentless and so so tough. Anyone else get really sharp chest pain too? Probably as a result of the coughing but whenever I breathe in having a sharp pain in my chest 🫠

In Japan, if someone is ill and can’t isolate, they ware a mask as a courtesy and to reduce chances of infecting others. If we started doing that it would help.

Here, I had people shout at me for waring a mask and had it pulled off twice. I’ve had people repeated come up to me and cough over me, then smurk as if they’d done something clever. One time during the early days of Covid before vaccinations, when I was in the Virgin store, a women came in coughing badly, clearly really sick. Went to the DVDs and picked up dozens and over 10 minutes deliberately coughed over them then put them back. The staff asked her to leave and she started following them trying to cough over them. She was really ill so this was hard for her. The staff locked themselves in a back room. Everyone else left the store as she went up and down the isles coughing on every DVD.

When my wife had cancer and her immume system was compromised she wore a mask. She was repeatedly told off and refused service, even when she told them she had cancer. She was literally shouted at and told, “masks don’t protect you”, “stop being a lier, germs are the lie they tell you to control you”. As a society we’re £ucked with all the anti-science propaganda.

If we ever have a zombie plague, there will be people deliberately spreading it to prove that there is no plague.

    16. I had _something_ recently…

Manager was off for a week, came back in to work while clearly still symptomatic… we have now had at least 2 weeks of most of the team getting hit and having to be off for a few days.

If you’re sick – stay home. It’s not hard

Roll up, roll up, for your annual Big Pharma money spinning operation, pray we got the right mutation that appeared in Oz in the summer because thats what you’re getting this year

One of the interesting aspects of COVID was hundreds of medical studies that showed consistent correlation between low Vitamin D3 blood markers and poor COVID outcomes.

Big pharma shouted that these hundreds of studies couldn’t prove causation so they were having none of it

Have any pharmaceutical companies done any further trials of vitamin D3 to attempt to prove causation!
Of course they haven’t. There is little to no money in it for them.

D3 supplementation would be one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve the general population’s immune health, reducing adverse health outcomes, yet the UK government will have nothing to do with it.

I’ve been trying to get a private flu jab for the past few weeks and they’re out of stock everywhere 🫠
