This is why we need to restrict sales of fireworks to licensed professionals only. Fingers crossed the lad makes a full recovery.
This will be what leads to a total ban on fireworks.
The fireworks in bradford are bonkers. All the wedding venues throughout the summer letting them off well past midnight on weeknights, then the fun and games of November. I have come to the conclusion this year that they need to be banned outright.
Fireworks should require a licence to buy and use. The bottom line is that they are explosive and highly flammable. Too many people have access to them without the basic knowledge how to use them safely.
When I was growing up, I had the feeling this sort of thing happened all the time.
There were TV and news ads about how dangerous fireworks are. I kind of assumed there were 100s of people in the burn unit every November.
