      >Farage ~~war on gold plated pensions~~ threatens disaster for the NHS

They win votes by planning to burn the UK to the ground. It’s bizarre.

He and his friends are already rich and can retire without a pension. Many work for the NHS specifically for the pension. What he is doing is not someone who has the interest of the public in mind

Farage. The man for which you have too many freedoms, too many rights. And too much money.

Says the man who will be getting 73k a year off the EU when he turns 63.

Does this include his gold plated EU pension as well?

      Didn’t think so.

Being apathetic and surrendering our pensions will be the second daftest act of self sabotage we’ll inflict on ourselves after Brexit.

When will people realise who is driving this nonsense.

Keir Starmer is the only person in the UK who has his pension written into law. He’s the only one that needs looking at.

Will he go after gold-plated indexation on the state pension?

Why do the public seem to hate the public sector?

‘Gold-plated’ (and sometimes ‘copper-bottom’) is a phrase my boomer Tory uncle absolutely *loves* to use about public sector pensions. He’s a man whose understanding of the world is heavily informed by sixty years of having his nose buried in The Telegraph.

I’m still yet to see anyone ever explain how it is that the pension burden is suddenly getting so out of hand even after decades of sky-high net migration. It’s like you’ve had some roofer making a fucking racket above you for thirty years and you’re still being told that the coming winter will destroy the house.

Reddit hates rich pensioners and also Farage. What do we do???

    13. This won’t hurt him at all, that’s the sad thing. His supporters are often angry and jealous of those who have the things we all deserve.

The worst of it is that the tool public sector workers would use to resist this theft (striking) would likely be spun by a man like Farage as his plan working.

      >According to the NHS Pension Board annual report for 2023-24: total contributions were about £20.4 billion, and benefit payments (including lump sums) were about £16.1 billion. – GOV.UK

The nhs pension is self funding. Staff contributions cover current pension payments.

    15. Remind me, what’s his pension for barely turning up to his MEP job?

    16. Impressive-Bird-6085 on

It’s all a part of Farage and Reform UK’s plan to further dismantle the NHS and public services, and push the U.K. an its people further ahead of the economic ‘race to the bottom’ simply to enrich their already rich paymasters….
