She’s died… But he’s been charged with attempted murder…
I’m hoping that’s just a timing thing before the charges are upgraded to actual murder.

“Djeison Rafael” How are we pronouncing that? I genuinely have no idea.

There are no real words. I’d be so angry if I were her loved one. A person’s life, just stolen from them for no reason.

Between this and the Oldham murder, we really need details.
I refuse to accept “mental illness” as the rationale for all these murders.
And I’m fed up of people pointing at line graphs saying “you don’t need to worry about random knife attacks because overall knife crime is going down”. Here’s a novel idea, let’s split knife crime out into “teen drug dealers stabbing each other” and “random people getting butchered in the street”?

My sincere condolences to the family. Having said that, We really need to start addressing this crisis called “Mental health”. If not, sadly this would be a recurring theme. 😔

I thought I might have misremembered the woman’s age, but this is the second one to happen recently, the other woman was 19.

Women aren’t weary enough these days. It’s never been more dangerous

Why are media outlets refusing to show his face in either the thumbnail or anywhere in the article?

I am in my 40s and even growing up in 1990s Birmingham had an issue with black kids and knives.
I would say every one of my friendship group was either mugged or theatened by a gang of black kids either on buses into town or around the city centre.
I myself was threatened inside a mcdonalds with my then girlfriend and a few of her mates. They said unless we all gave them money they would stab me.
Even at school our headmaster talked about a culture where it seemed the wrong look could end you in trouble.
But we have been petrified for 30+ years to say this community in particular has a knife issue. I have older teen kids now and I am close to stopping any of them go into Birmingham city centre with friends.

Guns were banned after Dunblane. Didn’t solve the problem, did it?
