      preemptively I would like to publicly inform everyone that while I have never been imprisoned, I will not like it one bit, in fact it would be a total nightmare for me, so if ever incarcerated, please release me in 14 days tops. thank you for your understanding.

      That’s pretty much all from the article covering this development, much less about the reasonings as to why it’s happening.

      So prison is hard for him huh? How about the Libyans he bombed and killed in 2011? Or are we not humans? He should be spending the rest of his life in a prison cell.

      This is potentially worse than not indicting him in the first place and/or letting him off lightly. 

      The whole point of holding leaders accountable is giving them something to fear. This does not send that message.

      Come on guys! He only took money from a foreign nation to fund his election campaign and he already served 20 out of 1825 days in jail.

      Besides, it would be a really bad precedent for the elite if you could jail a former president, if he is caught doing crime. You wouldn’t expect the elite to be held *accountable*, now would you?

      Well may be then don’t commit crimes if you don’t want to be in prison. On the other hand, that is just for us filthy plebs, so if you are from the patrician class, go ahead.
