Maybe a person who is willing to donate is in general willing to donate 10 € or more. If the limit was 5 €, they might get more 5 € donations, but not signifinatly fewer donations overall.

The processing of each payments likely comes with some kind of a cost. So to keep the actual sum donated as high as possible they want to have a minimum limit.

A big reason is admin costs, handling tiny donations can actually cost more than they bring in. Another is sustainable funding, regular monthly donations above a certain amount give the org predictable income to keep things running.

It’s likely that these organizations have too high payment processing costs to justify smaller sums. Seta also doesn’t allow less than one euro payments.

SETA does accept one time donation also, you just have to change tab from I donate every month (Lahjoitan joka kuukausi) to I donate once (Lahjoitan Kerran). You can also donate a custom amount (minimum € 1, can’t donate € 0.5)

SEY you can donate monthly (min € 10), onetime (€ 1 minimum), items they have on the list (like food, equipment), or as a volunteer (e.g. animal transport, foster home)

SLL also have both one time (kertalahjoitus) min 5 € and monthly (kuukauden lahjoitus) minimum 10 €.

[Edit: I may have misunderstood the question lol. I dunno the answer, but admin cost kinda makes sense. But I do have the same question then, why minimum €1 euro is accepted for 1 time but minimum monthly is €10? ]
