Looks like mange, unfortunately, the fact he’s out in the open during the day isn’t a great sign either. Make sure to keep any pets away – don’t know where you’re based but Irish wildlife matters have a list of rehabilitation hubs who’ll be able to help [https://irishwildlifematters.ie/rehabilitators/](https://irishwildlifematters.ie/rehabilitators/)

As someone else said, I think vets can give you treatment for it which you can put in food and leave out for it, hopefully they come back and eat it.

If you are in Munster, please contact wildliferescuecork asap, they are super and deal with these cases all the time. If you are in the east, please contact wildlife rescue Kildare

Poor little thing has mange. Contact Kildare Wildlife Rescue. They might be able to point you in the right direction https://www.kwr.ie/
I know fox rescues in the UK will send you out mange treatment to put in food but am not sure how that works here. The vets might give it out but I am not sure.

If you’ve a thick pair of gloves and a heavy coat maybe pop him in a cat/dog box and bring him to the vet.
They’ll treat the mange and if the fox requires any further rehabilitation there’s wildlife services that’ll take the fox in.

There is treatment you can get to put into food. Foxes really enjoy egg so if you can get some and put it into that just make sure this little one is the one getting it.
