I am so sick of clickbaiting news articles misrepresenting Met Eireann information 5 times a year every winter.

It has been seriously mild for Oct/Nov so something has to give.

Sometimes – in winter – it gets cold.

People still use Met Eireann? What is this, 2003?
BBC met office is far, far better and generally more accurate. Accu weather is also useful, not as accurate as BBC but the same as or slightly more than Met Eireanm in my opinion.
The fact that they still sticking as hard as possible to the format that presenters used to do on TV in the 80s and 90s, rather than giving us actusl concise and detailed breakdowns, is galling. And 110% expected.
Neither BBC, Accuweather *nor* RTE have it as snowing (or going below freezing as at all) in the coming days by the way, so the Irish Mirror is lying here. Honestly, I’m not opposed to fining companies for this type of stuff at this point – it’s got to be close to 50% of all headlines being disingenuous or outright lies, all for clickbait.
Edit: to placate the downvoters (or rile up, who knows with that lot).
2nd edit: and now one of them got snotty to the point of throwing out personal insults, all because I proved my point with citations, including the one that is the very topic of this thread. Typical. 😂

According to NOAA the cold La Nina current shown signs of activity on the Pacific. This usually brings forth a more colder and wetter weather.
I would not hold my breath though, if it gets cold, so be it.

We’re a couple weeks away from the coldest winter on record predictions followed by the wettest spring on record and hottest summer on record.
