Sono interessato ad ascoltare alcune delle tradizioni tedesche che tutti voi avete per Natale.
Mia madre è di Marbach am Neckar (vicino a Stoccarda), quindi tutte le tradizioni regionali di lì sono particolarmente apprezzate.
Preparo il Rouladen ogni anno per la cena della vigilia di Natale e recentemente ho scoperto che si chiama specificamente “Involtini di manzo‘. Faccio un’insalata tiepida di patate come quella che fa mia madre e come l’ha fatta sua madre, e l’accompagno con cavolo rosso.
Quest’anno ho due settimane di ferie dal lavoro prima di Natale e sto cercando di aggiungere altre tradizioni tedesche alla lista.

Braten! Pork or beef roast, gravy, Semmelknödel / Kattoffelknödel, Apfelrotkohl (red cabbage with small bits of apple)
I prefer potato dumplings inatead of the salad, but thats a Thuringian thing.
Also have Bratapfel as dessert
A lot of traditions are part of Advent, like Adventskalender and Adventskranz. There’s also St.Nikolaus who puts sweets, nuts, fruit and little gifts into the shoes of children in the night of 6th December. And of course baking Christmas cookies, making a gingerbread house, decorating the tree and the apartment, singing Christmas carols, going to the markets …
For food my family has the tradition that everyone cooks/ prepares a different part of the menu.
