“”Mason, who has since deleted his X account, said he was affected by grief and redundancy at the time he made the posts.
“These tweets were made in 2023 and early 2024 when I was not a member of any political party or elected as a councillor and during a difficult time personally,” he said.
In one post, from March 2024, Mason said: “What a surprise a statue of a fat arsed black woman.”””
Not sure that somebody so emotionally unstable is the best person to have in a leadership role. What will happen the next time he is overwhelmed by emotion?

He has apologized for his “choice of words” he hasn’t apologized for his views, he hasn’t apologized to the people he offended. He hasn’t apologized for his blatant racism, he just wished he used better words to convey his bigotry.

Reform keeps accidentally getting exactly the kind of bigot we all think they are. What bad luck.

There are loads of new statues of random black women and it is strange. Wonder which one his comment was in reference to.

And these are the cretins that a third of adults think should form the next government..
Part of me thinks bring it on/let the fascists burn the economic house down, but it would make Truss’s bond yield spike look like wise stewardship. Farage and his uber rich backers will do well though; as they did from the Brexit debacle/£100bn lost gdp. Anyone recall Crispin Odey etc
Mabour really need to hammer Farage’s brexit lies, their impact and his continued grift home. Tbf that might require his voting base to be able to critically think, or have a memory even

Reform MP being a piece of shit? Thought this was a given.

I’ve been made redundant before.
I’ve also had to deal with grief before.
Not once have I decided to take that out on others, nor have I ever leapt to X to make inflammatory, racist or sexist or demeaning remarks towards others.

His attempt to excuse that is stupid
